Family travel

Family trips have more moving parts. A lap infant still needs to be added to the booking; seats together may cost extra on some fares; children flying internationally need their own passports; and an older relative may want wheelchair help at the airport.

When you ask for a family booking, we raise these questions early and send the relevant requests to the airline: seats together, bassinets on long flights, meals and airport assistance. Airlines confirm these on their own terms, and some remain requests until the day of travel. We tell you which is which.

We also flag tight connections and very early departures, so you can weigh a slightly higher fare against an easier day with young children.
