Whether a change is cheap, costly or impossible depends on the fare you bought. Many standard fares on US airlines no longer carry a change fee, while the most basic fares often cannot be changed at all. When you ask for a change, we check the rules on your ticket and look at what is available on the new dates.

You then get a written quote in up to three parts: the fare difference if the new flight costs more, any airline change fee in your fare rules, and our service fee. If your dates are flexible, we can price a few alternatives so you can see which day costs least to move to.

Nothing changes until you approve the quote. Seats on the new flight are not held while you decide, so the fare difference can move if approval takes time.

How it works

  1. Send the change request

Your booking reference, the travelers affected and the new dates or route you want.

  2. We check the fare rules

An agent reads your ticket conditions and checks availability on the flights you are considering.

  3. You get the quote

Fare difference, airline change fee and our service fee, itemized, with the total in USD.

  4. Say yes, then we move it

After your approval and payment come through, we submit the change to the airline.

  5. New itinerary sent

You receive the updated itinerary and ticket details once the airline has processed the change.

Questions about this service

My fare says no change fee. Why is there still a cost?

No change fee means the airline does not add a penalty. If the new flight is priced higher than your original fare, you still pay the difference, and our service fee for handling the change is shown separately.

Can I change a basic fare?

Often not. Many basic or entry-level fares do not allow changes after the airline's own grace period. We check your ticket and tell you plainly if a change is not possible.

What if the new flight is priced lower?

Some airlines return the difference as a travel credit; others keep it. It depends on the fare rules, and we confirm which applies in the quote.

Have dates in mind?

Send the route and your dates. An agent will come back with options and an all-in total, and nothing is booked until you say so.
